Work & Play Football in Greece for Non‑EU Amateur Footballers

Not a trial. Not a dream. A 3‑year pathway to live, work and play football in Greece with a guaranteed visa, residence permit, job, club, housing and support – but no guaranteed professional contract.

The Hard Truth About European Football

The most dangerous thing for a young footballer is believing they are already somewhere they are not.

European football is brutally competitive. Serious scouts don’t care about labels like “I played here” or “I was all‑conference”; they look at performance, data and long‑term consistency, not stories.

Playing overseas is not easier than playing at home. Most footballers do not reach professional level, even in Europe, even with talent.

To have a chance, a footballer needs a difficult combination: experience, athleticism, game IQ, consistency and character over years, not weeks.

My job is not to sell dreams or to buy your dream. My job is to protect your investment and the footballer’s future, so that even if professional football never happens, the decision to come to Greece was not a financial or life disaster.

What Typically Happens (The Bad Path)

This is exactly what we are not doing.

Most “opportunities” offered to non‑EU footballers follow the same script:

  • Trial‑based programs with no job and no housing guarantee. Footballers pay to attend “trials” in Europe or other countries, train for a few days, and then everything depends on one coach’s decision.
  • Fake documentation scams. In some cases, fake or manipulated documents are used to “make things easier”, which can destroy a footballer’s visa history permanently.
  • Agency disappears after the visa is rejected or the trial fails. There is no long‑term plan, no responsibility, and no backup once something goes wrong.
  • Footballer stranded without work or club. Many end up in a foreign country with no income, no legal solution, no club, and a family at home that has lost serious money.
  • Exploitative labour conditions. Without a real job contract and structure, footballers are exposed to bad working conditions and no protection.
  • No support if the footballer gets injured. An injury during a trial or short stay often means “go home, problem is yours”, with no medical or legal plan.
  • No backup plan if the professional career fails. When “100% football‑dependent” plans fail, there is nothing left: no legal status, no income, no alternative path.

Work & Play in Greece is designed as the opposite of this.

What Idsoccer Guarantees (The Clear Path)

We guarantee structure, not dreams.

We guarantee four pillars: visa, residence permit, club and job. You know exactly what is in place before the footballer arrives in Greece.

  • Visa guaranteed (not trial‑based).
This is not a “come and hope” program. The footballer already has a club agreement before entering Greece, which makes the visa case strong and clean.

  • 3‑year resident permit guaranteed (with renewals).
We build a 3‑year residence pathway in line with the current immigration rules, including renewals after the first year.

  • Amateur club placement guaranteed (tiers 3–5).
We guarantee a club at an amateur level that matches the footballer’s profile, typically in tiers 3–5, where they can train 4–5 times per week and compete regularly.

  • Job guaranteed (from €900/month net).
We secure a legal job paying at least €900 per month net, plus housing and meals, so the footballer is not dependent on their family for daily survival.

  • Housing and meals guaranteed.
Full‑board shared accommodation is arranged so the footballer has a stable living environment from day one.

  • 3‑year support system.
We support the footballer for three years with medical, legal and practical guidance, mental and adaptation support, and clear communication – not just during the first weeks.

What we do not guarantee is a professional contract.

Professional success depends on performance, attitude and luck; our job is to guarantee the infrastructure (visa, residency, club, job, housing, support) so that even if the footballer never becomes professional, the investment is still sensible and recoverable.

Program fees for Work & Play Football in Greece

Fees depend on how complete your football and work CV are. We take more risk and do more work for incomplete profiles, so higher levels are priced accordingly.

  • Level 1 – Structured CV

For amateur footballers already registered, with videos and verifiable stats.

    €15,000 one-time (Year 1)

    What this level includes

    • Registered in club or academy with official FA / league record
    • Match videos plus Transfermarkt or trusted stats page
    • Real work experience or qualifications employers recognise
    • Lower overall risk for club and employer placement
    • Not for “zero experience” profiles
  • Level 3 – From Zero

For footballers without club registration, stats or work experience.

    €30,000 one-time (Year 1)

    What this level includes

    • No official club or academy registration today
    • No reliable statistics or public profile to verify level
    • No previous work experience in any sector
    • We build both your football and work CV from scratch
    • We may still say no if market probability is too low

Who This Program Is For (Eligibility)

This program is for non‑EU amateur footballers – men and women – who want to live, work and play football in Greece for more than a few weeks.

To be eligible, a footballer should:

  • Be between 18 and 26 years old at the time of visa application.
  • Hold a non‑EU passport and be ready to move for at least one to three years.
  • Speak English at B1 level or higher (or native), so they can work and integrate in Greece.
  • Have at least €1,000 as personal reserve money in addition to the program fee.
  • Be willing to work full‑time in Greece and train around their job during the season.
  • Accept that this is amateur / semi‑professional football, not a shortcut to a guaranteed professional contract.
  • Be mentally ready to adapt to a new country, culture and level of physicality.

If a footballer’s CV and profile are weak, it is better to be honest and say no than to take money for a path that is not realistic.

3‑Year Support and Renewal Fees

Work & Play is a 3‑year project, not a one‑season adventure.

The initial program fee (Level 1, 2 or 3) covers Year 1 setup and support. At the end of each season, you pay €5,000 to extend full support into the next year (Years 2 and 3).

This structure makes the project predictable for everyone:

  • You know your total commitment before you start.
  • We stay responsible for your situation for the full 3 years – not just the first months.

What the €5,000/year Support Covers

The yearly support fee is not a “hidden extra”. It pays for concrete work we do around you and your life in Greece:

  • Visa and resident‑permit follow‑up.
We monitor your status, advise on renewals and help you avoid mistakes that can damage your immigration record.

  • Job optimisation.
When possible, we look for better roles, schedules or salary, and help you move if a new job is clearly better for your long‑term plan.

  • Club and league strategy.
If your level and situation justify it, we help you move to a stronger amateur or semi‑professional club, or adjust your environment so football and work stay sustainable.

  • Priority problem‑solving.
If something serious happens – injury, job loss, club issues – you are not alone. We step in, talk to the right people and work on a solution instead of leaving you stranded.

  • Mental and adaptation support.
Living abroad is hard. We help you understand the reality of Greek football, work culture, and the physical and mental demands, so you don’t quit for the wrong reasons.

Why the Support Is Mandatory

Some programs disappear after the first contract is signed. We don’t.

Support is mandatory for three years because:

  • Your visa and job are not “fire and forget” – they need management over time.
  • Most problems do not appear in the first month; they appear in months 6, 12 or 18.
  • We want incentives aligned: if you are in trouble, we are paid to help, not to look away.

If you are looking for a one‑off trial or a short‑term camp, this program is not for you. If you want a serious 3‑year life and football plan, this structure exists to protect you and your investment.
